When China's leader Hu Jintao visited the White House last week the spotlight was on relations between the world's established -- and some say declining -- economic power- The USA, and an emerging rival- CHINA- currently the worlds 2nd richest nation (GDP Gross Domestic Product).

China to be worlds most richest nation?

Source=Worldmapper.com (This animation shows the worlds wealth in 2015 using a range of indicators. It Predicts that China will be the worlds most wealthiest nation)

Economic Wealth in China
China is quickly becoming one of the most important countries in the world; they control a good percentage of the world's trade goods, such as toys for children, small appliances, etc. Some would say that much of what China is selling is plastic junk that breaks quickly. A market flooded with this is a market that will turn elsewhere for the products and China's economy would suffer.
In addition China has large quantities of mineral reserves not to mention fossil fuels.

PROTESTS:

Another issue is that the People's Republic of China has to this day serious issues with human rights. Many of the people are punished severely for small crimes, are expected to work long hours for little pay and often child laborers under the age of 10 can be found in the factories. Any attempts that Obama can make to help this situation would make China a better nation.

China's 'illegal' rule of Tibet:

SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET

- True story of Heinrich Harrer (played by Brad Pitt), an Austrian mountain climber who became friends with the Dalai Lama at the time of China's takeover of Tibet in 1950.

More on China: in last weeks Sun Newspaper, the editor Trevor Kavanah published an interesting story about China. He explained how China has 'bought' billions of pounds of DEBT from other countries who have suffered during the economic recession such as Portugal and Greece. In addition, he spoke about how China now 'owns' large proportions of New Zealands farming areas AND Australia's Oil and Gas reserves- not to forget Scotland either!

He went on to say that China has also sent warships to Taiwan and Japan in what he felt was a display of 'power!'

Which ever way you look at it, China (with the worlds largest army) is a force to be reckon with both in terms of military power and ECONOMIC Power!!!
